What We Believe

what We Believe
We Believe that the Bible is God's holy, unerring Word, that it was given for our salvation, is our only rule of faith and practice and is the standard by which God will judge us.
We believe that there is one true and living God, Yahweh, who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; equal in all things.
We believe that man was created perfect and innocent, but fell willingly into sin, and as a a result, all individuals are born with a sin nature that is without defense or excuse before GOd.
We believe that Satan was once a prince among angels, that through pride he rebelled against God and fell, drawing after him a host of angels; he is now the dictator of this world, the ruler of darkness, the accuser of the brethren, and the enemy of all who are God's. He is judged already and his eternal abode will be the lake of fire.
We believe that a sinner can be saved only by GOd's grace, through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, who took our sinful nature, dying on the cross to make a full atonement for us, and rose again for our justification.
We believe that repentance from sin and faith in the shed blood of Christ are God's only demands in order for us to be pardoned and ustified. His righteousness is accounted to be ours, and we have peace with God.
We believe that salvation is free to anyone by the Gospel and that nothing prevents the salvation of the worst sinner, save rejection of God's son.
We believe that to be saved means to be born again. This is a Divine miracle wrought by the Holy Spirit, as He applies the blood of Jesus Christ to our hearts together with the Word, through simple faith in Christ.
We believe that God has saved us in mercy, that one who is saved has nothing in which to boast, except Christ himself, and that our salvation will prove itself by the behavior and service seen by all around us.
We believe that we are sanctified the moment we ar saved, being made the righteousness of God, and set apart a His own. We are continuously sanctified by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, Who leads us on. We shall be wholly sanctified at last in glory, perfectly like the Lord, and no longer subject to temptation.
We believe that justification is the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to all who trust Him. It includes pardon and eternal life and is not bestowed because of any work of righteousness on our part but soley throguh his redeeming blood.
We believe that we are kept by the power of God so that we cannot fall out of His grace; that all true Christians will endure to the end and that their perseverance is the mark that distuingeshes them as true believers.
We believe that a true New Testament Church is a congregation of believers assembled together to preach the Gospel, to observe the ordinances and to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that believers' baptism is a symbolic proffession of one's faith to the Church of God by the immersion of a believer in water by the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is a solumn token of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper, by the use of broken bread and poured out wine, commemorates the broken body and shed blood of Christ for us.
We believe the first day of the week is the Lord's Day and should be set aside for the worship and praise of God.
We believe that everyone will be raised from the dead to face judgement. Those saved through faith in Christ will eneter the endless joy of heaven and all who reject Christ and continue to be impenitent will abide under His curse and will be raised to suffer the everlasting miseries of Hell.
W believe that the personal return of Jesus Christ is plainly declared in the Word of God and may take place at any moment. This is the blessed hope of the saints and the whole Church of Christ.
